Information about Scottish cuisine

Scottish cuisine-

Scottish cuisine is the specific set of cooking traditions, practices and cuisines associated with Scotland.

It has distinctive attributes and recipes of its own and shares much with British and wider European cuisine as a result of local, regional, and continental influences - both ancient and modern.

Types of Scotland's most famous foods-

When people usually talk about Scottish food and tradition of cooking, they talk about Scottish famous seafood.

Scotland is well famous because of their amazing seafood technics, food and culture and that is not so surprising, Scotland has rivers, lakes, and a big sea surrounding it. This allows Scotland to make a big, respectful and famous food culture.

One of the most popular food in Scotland is the famous salmon Scottish like to make.

Scottish salmon farms lead the world in fish welfare. Every single farm is cared by a team of experienced dedicated fish health professionals, each fish gets daily health check by farmers.

¼ of a serving Scottish salmon (in Scotland) has your week quart of omega three, that is a high relevant fatty acids category that is necessary for optimal functioning of cells in the human body. That’s almost double from what wild salmon may have.

Anther traditional Scottish food is “Leek and tattie soup” this is the type of food usually grandmothers make when their grandchildren comes to visit them.

Leek and tattie soup are usually vegetarian soup with potatoes onions and more healthy Ingredients.

Even if this soup doesn’t seem special it is very special because it is a traditional soup that served in an important cultural event where Scots congregate to celebrate poet Robert Burns and his brilliant works.

And the most famous food in Scotland the tasty food that all Scottish people know Scotland’s national dish haggis.

Haggis is a savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked while traditionally encased in the animal's stomach.

Usually Scottish people make haggis with whisky sauce that is also the national drink of Scotland.

Haggis is well known food outside Scotland even in America and Europe.

Today there are haggis that are vegetarians and without meet and people they taste amazing.

Israeli food vs Scottish food

The Israeli cuisine is quite different than the Scottish cuisine.

Most of the Israeli cuisine is affected by the countries near the country (like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and more) and shares types of food with the Eastern cuisine.

Like Israel Scottish food has lot in common with the countries near the country and shares types of food with the Eastern cuisine.

Scottish types of food are usually meat or sea food unlike Israeli types of food that are usually carbohydrates and types of spicy foods.

The food culture of Scotland wasn’t so surprising because like Israel Scotland’s food culture is affected by the countries near the country and has a its own special types of food. Also, we could assume that some of the traditional food types can be sea food or has sea food in it, because of the geographical region of the state of Scotland (Scotland is surrounded by a big sea and has lots of rivers, lakes).

Like Israel some of the traditional food in Scotland has a deep meaning, like the famous traditional Scottish salmon.

Scottish salmon farms lead the world in fish welfare and this may say something about the Scottish society. The Scottish community is dedicated to the salmon welfare and gives the best conditions to all salmon fish.

That may say that Scottish people are dedicated to their community and want to help everybody even the fish in the deep ocean.

This is one of the most surprising things I've found about the Scots community. They are dedicated, they care about their environment and the most surprising things I’ve found is their national drink is whisky.

In conclusion Scottish cuisine is very diverse and different from other countries it is well known for his traditional and tasty food.

So next trip to Scotland make sure to try some of the traditional types of food and tell us what your most surprising thing was you have learned in this article? in the comments.
